Works by Sandra Dennison in the Gallery and Shoppe
Sandra Dennison is a professional artist. Her specialties include oil, pastels, acrylic and graphite. Sandra's works contain everyday objects that she transforms into dynamic masterpieces. Her works are in private and permanent collections throughout the United States including the Eldorado Gallery in Colorado and the Seaside Gallery in North Carolina. Sandra is basically self-taught with a little fine-tuning along the way by artists like Marc Moon, Dino Massaroni and Jane Boyde. Throughout the years she has acquired the ability to render silver, glass and the softness of fabric in a very realistic style. She focuses on capturing the dramatic contrasts between light and dark in the style of the Old Dutch masters.

In addition to teaching at BCA Sandra also teaches at Cuyahoga Valley Art Center. She is a member of The Crooked River Gang that manages the gallery, MD Garage, in downtown Peninsula Ohio and is also a life member of the limited society of The Whiskey Painters of America.

Karen began her weaving career in 1985 by taking classes at the Woodshed in Medina and later became their instructor. Always striving for excellence, she has attended many workshops and conventions over the years. Karen has received award ribbons for Best of Show, 1st place and 2nd place in many area competitions. God's Green Earth: Acrylics by Linda Carter Mack
Linda Carter Mack has created art work since she was a child. She attended The Society of Arts and Crafts in Detroit, Michigan and, as an adult, continued to paint and draw in her free time while raising two boys, attending nursing school and then working full time in various healthcare settings. A busy artist, Linda has worked as a commissioned portrait artist and has won various photography awards including a national contest for The Great Frame-Up, having her first-place photograph on the cover of their calendar.

Linda has continued her art education through classes at the Cleveland Institute of Art and Brecksville Center for the Arts. Linda has also traveled throughout Europe to expand her artistic range of media.

After a successful healthcare career, including an administrative position with the Cleveland Clinic Health System, Linda retired and has devoted her free time to painting in her own designated studio. She continues to take classes, calling herself a lifetime student of the arts. She especially loves painting florals and scenery in nature. Many reflect her photographer's eye. Coming to the Brecksville area 10 years ago from Traverse City, Michigan, a beautiful resort town in northern Michigan, Linda continues to paint scenes she has photographed. Her exhibit at the Brecksville Center for the Arts is a representation of her many works depicting “God's Green Earth.”
