BCA Kindermusik Classes with Linda Huth
Licensed Kindermusik instructor, Linda Huth, teaches Kindermusik classes for Brecksville Center for the Arts at Blossom Hill--Room 6. There is no childcare service available during Kindermusik classes and children may not be left unattended in the Blossom Hill facility. Dress accordingly and bring a water bottle to class if desired.
As a courtesy when registering, please indicate if two adults desire to attend class regularly with one child. (Space limitations may not always accommodate such requests). Note the special “family-friendly” prices that are available for siblings (newborn to age 5) to participate in the Our Time toddler class, and remember that preschooler family members are all invited to join freely in the Imagine That! family activities portion of class.
Kindermusik class schedules are subject to change depending upon enrollment. All classes currently require a minimum of five registered students for the class to be held. Ages 3 to 5 years old (Adult attends last 15 minutes of class with child)
Creativity is nurtured as basic music concepts are
introduced. Vocal development, storytelling, dance, literature and instrument
exploration are integrated with pretend play activities. Class is designed to
support preschoolers as they practice participating independently from parents
for 45 minutes, followed by fifteen minutes of Family Sharing Time that involves
all waiting parents and siblings. Family activity book outlines weekly lesson
focus and provides additional fun assignments.

(18 months to 3 1/2 years old with participating adult and special sibling prices)
Toddlers and their parents/caregivers share in singing, playing simple rhythm instruments, imitating sounds, and dancing to music all about animals. Fiddle-dee-dee activities support developing self-awareness, language skills, balance and coordination. Focused listening and turn-taking encourage blossoming social skills and self-control. Materials allow you to recreate this experience at home using themed storybooks, two CD's, activity songbook, doghouse carry box, and special musical instrument.
Class is designed for one-on-one participation between adult and toddler, but siblings under the age of five may also be registered to participate (see Additional Child Fee) and babies under 8 months may attend free of charge. Childcare is not available for siblings who are not enrolled in the class. As a courtesy, please indicate ages of children when you register. Evening class members are invited to wear pajamas to class, if desired. Maximum enrollment per class is 8 children. Village provides a delightful environment for lap babies, crawlers and walkers accompanied by a parent or caregiver. Through singing, moving, dancing, object exploration, instrument play, and baby massage, you'll learn how your baby is developing cognitively, emotionally and physically. Discover new ways of incorporating music into your daily routines with baby. The Rhythm of My Day and Hickory, Dickory, Tickle and Bounce themed materials each include a colorful baby board-book, CD, and age-appropriate instruments for continued enjoyment at home.
Class is designed for one-on-one participation between adult and baby. Parents with twins or triplets are encouraged to bring additional adults to class, as it is helpful during various activities, but not necessarily required.
